Locating Print Resources

A good place to start looking for keywords is the encyclopedia.  Look up your topic and find names, dates, titles of works authored, etc. to search for in the catalog or elsewhere.  Some suggested keywords are:  Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Slovakia, Albania, Serbia, Yugoslavia, Croatia.

Databases - free printing

Check out eLibrary in ProQuest. Once you are in eLibrary click on the Topic tab. Find Regional Studies in the list and click on Countries of the World. You can also try the Student Research Center in the EBSCO database or Student Resource Center-Gold in Infotrac.

Pick up a copy of "Biblioteca Las Americas Digital Resources" at the reference desk for home access codes and passwords.

The State Hermitage Museum - This magnificent museum is located in the center of St. Petersburg and houses over 3,000,000 items.
